A lot of us when we first think about how to make money online think about making a lot of money real fast. Well, for the most part making money online isn’t like that and a lot of people get discouraged when it doesn’t happen that way. However, we can all do things that make a little money online.
You can start a blog or website and make money from Adsense or other contextual ads, you can join PTCs, PTRs and survey sites to make a little money while you learn and find other ways to make bigger money. There are a lot of ways to make money online. Just because you don’t make a lot of money starting out don’t let that stop you from pushing on.
I’m not making a whole lot of money right now, but I can definitely see a light at the end of the tunnel and I’m headed for it. So enjoy your small accomplishments the big ones are ahead.

Lately I have been finding a lot of distractions. I’m finding there are a lot of ways to make money online and I want to try them all. While promoting one thing I will run across some other opportunity that has high potential to make money and I start researching that, taking me away from what I was original thing I was doing.
By doing that I get of track and it slows down my progress on the original project. Take for example my Monday post about The Ultimate SuperTip, the free e-book you can make money from by giving it away. I found that when I was promoting the affiliate product that I was talking about in my “Make Money Online Affiliate Marketing” series.
I thought the e-book had such a high potential for making money, I started marketing it and even though I have made money from it, it took me from my original goal, which was marketing the other affiliate product to get a second sell for it. Because of distractions and not promoting the other affiliate product it may have slowed my chance of getting that second sell.
By jumping from one opportunity to another it’s hard to give any of them the attention they need thus slowing down your opportunity of having a stable money making business in place and then moving on to the next. I’m not saying let those other money-making opportunities go. I’m saying stay on track with your original plan until it bears fruit and then move on.

I wanted to do a quick post on fighting the boredom that comes along with affiliate marketing and niche marketing. For me the boredom comes with the promoting part. Writing articles, commenting on blogs and posting in forums is boring as hell to me, but these things are necessary in order to make money online no matter what you’re doing.
If you keep working on something that bores you it can be discouraging and make you want to quit. I have found that doing these boring things in small portions is very affective in fighting boredom. I am a creative person so building websites is more pleasing for me than marketing them. So, what I have found is that I can work on the promoting until I get bored, then I can work on creating a website and get energized and I’m still working on something to make money online. I can then work on promoting again later.
If you’re anything like me you want to do all of one thing until it’s done and have it out of the way as quickly as possible. But, forcing yourself to keep doing a boring task can make you want to give up. Take a break and do something that you like doing that’s still in line with making money.
One more thing I want to mention is doing something that doesn’t work as well as you thought or at all can also be discouraging and make you give up. However, just keep trying. Try something, different. Look at what others are doing that are making it and copy them. After all they are really only people like you. Just keep in mind that you can make money online as long as you keep at it

Well, we have chosen our affiliate product, created a landing page and have started working on getting traffic to that landing page. Now comes the time to see if our affiliate marketing pays off. Now comes the time to see if we will make a sell. Although you are waiting for your first sell (In my case the second), you don’t what to stop your marketing efforts. You have to keep marketing in order to make money online.
Even if you don’t make a sell on this affiliate campaign don’t give up just try another one. The more you try the more you are going to learn and pretty soon you will be an expert and making money all over the place.

Once you have chosen an affiliate product to market you want to make a landing page that gives a little information about product and leads to the product sells page. Like I said I used Squidoo as my landing page. Squidoo Lenses make good landing pages because they are like one page websites. Plus the way they are setup you can use modules to add bits on information and interest points. Squidoo is also free to use.
You can make your own one page website as you landing by using your own domain or using a free web host. The main thing is to give your potential customers just enough information to leave them wanting for more then give them the link to the product sells page and let that sell them on the product for you. Remember, it is not your job as the to sell the product. That’s not what affiliate marketing is about. It’s your job to get people to the sells page and let it sell them.

Last week I had planned to do an affiliate marketing campaign. I was going choose an affiliate product and work it until I got my first sell as a way to make money online. But life sort of got in the way and I didn’t get a chance to do that. However, I am and actually have started working on that plan this week. I have been doing what I call hit and run niche marketing. What I mean is I pick a niche, do my website, do some promoting through the usual avenues and move to the next niche. The results of doing this have only been minimally successful at best. My Google Adsense money has gone up some, but I have had no affiliate sells until this weekend and the strange thing it was on a niche I just started working and have done very little promoting.
I need to take more time on each project to see that each one is profitable and capable of making on going passive income. So this series will be dedicated to that with taking an affiliate product to a sell. Now I must admit that I am cheating a little bit here. I noticed this weekend that the latest niche I have been working had a sell from one of the affiliate products I chose. So what I want to do is take that product to a second sell. This product is already setup with a Squidoo Lens as a landing page and I have written a couple of articles for it also.
However, lets go back to the beginning. The start of any affiliate marketing is choosing an affiliate product. There are a couple of ways you can choose an affiliate product. You can to Google or any search engine and do a search for whatever your niche is adding the word affiliates and wrapping the whole thing in quotes like this “peach fuzz affiliates”.
Another way to find affiliate products to market is through affiliate program sites like Commission Junction, Max Bounty and the one I think is the best, Clickbank. Just choose a product that matches your niche and your on to the next step.

I am still working with the latest niche I’m working. Right now I’m spinning the articles I wrote and submitting them to article directories. I have also submitted the original version of the articles to Associated Content for payment. This is another way to make money online from article marketing. It just remains now to see if Associated Content make an offer for the articles.

I wrote earlier this week that I was having trouble writing articles for the new niche I was working. I also mentioned I was looking into some software to help with this problem. I have found what I needed and these tools work great. These are two tools that will help me with all my articles, now and in the future and that will help me make money online.
The name of the tools/software are Article Auto and WordFlood. First Article Auto is a very inexpensive article writing software that you setup to go out and pull sentences from sites that you tell it to go to. The sentences will be based on keywords you enter. Article Auto only cost $29.99 and it has worked well for me so far.
The next tool I want to tell you about is WordFlood. It’s an article spinner that helps you make your article look like a completely different article. The 1.2 version of WordFlood is totally free, but you can get a fully functional 2.0 version to use free for 14 days. I am using the 1.2 version and I like it a lot. You paste your article into the interface and all the words and phrases in blue can be changed. All you do is place your mouse over the blue words and a list of words appear that you can change that word to.
These two pieces of software makes life a little easier for me. Article Auto gives me some thing to start from when I’m having writer’s block on niche articles. WordFlood helps me change my articles enough that I can use them other places like Associated Content and with the controversy on rather Google looks at the same article on many article directories as duplicate content, WordFlood helps me alleviate that concern.
