Make Money Online Niche Marketing PT 5: Social Bookmarking

Continuing with the promoting of my new niche mini-site to make money online, I will do some social bookmarking. Now that I have put up some articles at article directories I will bookmark them along with the website itself at social bookmarking sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Propeller, Twitter and others.

Social bookmarking the articles and website will not only drive traffic to them, but also give them backlinks from high PR sites and push them higher up on the search engines, which will drive even more traffic to them as well as more targeted traffic thus helping you make money online.

I use two sites to do my social bookmarking, Social Poster and Socialmarker. These sites have a list of high-ranking bookmarking sites to bookmark your sites at. If you haven’t done so you’ll have to register to the each site.

After you have registered to each bookmarking site use Social Poster and Socialmarker to start posting to them. You fill in the information for your site like URL, keywords, title and description and as you go through and post your site to the bookmarking sites that information, for the most part is automatically filled in for you saving you lots time.

Social bookmarking is just another way to promote your niche mini-site and help you to make money online.

My Niche Market Run Down

Yesterday I did some more blog commenting and put my articles on a couple more article directories. The article directories I posted to are ArticleCube and Buzzle.

As I said yesterday I’m going to rest on this niche for a while and see how it works out. One thing I did want to mention before I go over the steps I used in working this niche is that while looking for blogs to comment on I run across a site had links to two of my articles, so I see the back linking for this niche working already.

Okay, let’s go over what I have done so far to make money online from the niche I have been working. First of all I researched my keyword phrase for free over at Wordtracker. After finding a phrase with a good amount of traffic and low competition I built my website using the keyword phrase in the URL. I also used the phrase in the title of the website and as much as I could in the content section of the site. I also target some other long tailed key phrases through out the site. I also monetized the site with Google Adsense and some affiliate stuff.

Next it was time to get some backlinks and traffic to the site so I wrote some articles and posted them on some article directories. I then went a step farther and social bookmarked the articles as well as the site itself. I also used myLot to get traffic to the site. I then made some Hub Pages and Squidoo Lenses which should also help to drive traffic to the site. The last thing I did in order to get traffic and backlinks was blog commenting. If you go back through this blog (which isn’t much to go through) you will find posts that explain these steps in more detail.

This weekend I will be tweeking my older sites with the new stuff I have learned to see if I can get more punch out of them. I ran across some other information and techniques that I will be trying and that I will share with you next week. So until then have a great weekend and go out there and make money online.

Social Bookmarking And Article Marking A Powerful One Two Punch

Yesterday I mentioned that I will be social bookmarking my articles, I plan to start that process today. The reason I think that combining social bookmarking and article marketing is a power combination is because you are combining two great traffic-getting sources.

Alone each of these marketing sources can bring tons of traffic now just imagine what they can do together. Granted article marketing brings more targeted traffic, but social bookmarking those articles not only gets you more traffic to them thus more traffic to your site, but it will also give you backlinks for those articles which will help to get higher search engine results which will get you even more target traffic.

When trying to make money online we all know that traffic is king and social bookmarking and article marketing are good ways to get that traffic. Why not combine them?

Social Bookmarking To Get Traffic And Make Money Online

Yesterday I book marked my niche site at some social bookmarking sites. Using social bookmarking sites is a fast way to get traffic to your site and as you know with traffic comes the chance to make money. Now traffic from social bookmarking sites aren’t as targeted as the traffic you get from the search engines. Most of these people will have clicked though to your site out of curiosity, but if they’re curious enough to click to your site they may be curious enough to click some ads.

To make money online it’s a numbers game. The more traffic you get the more money you can make. That’s not to say any traffic will make you money. You want your traffic to be as targeted as possible. You want people that have a genuine interest in what you’re providing. Social bookmarking can provide that because people will only click to see something they have an interest in some way or another. Even if that interest is curiosity.

To bookmark my sites I use Social Poster and Socialmarker. Both of these site have a list of high ranking bookmarking sites that you can bookmark your sites at.
